external router connectability

Purchased UI24R and trying to use an external router rather than the internal hotspot as suggested for better reliability. Bought a tp-link triband router but can't seem to get it to connect and have gotten conflicting answers from them.

Connect a LAN cable between the "Ethernet" port of the mixer and a "LAN" port of the TPLink.

Access to the TPLINK from your PC ( or tablet or smartphone ) then change the LAN IP of the TPLink to 10.10.2.254 then reboot the TPLink. Because Ui24R local ethernet has 10.2.2.1 IP when it's reseted then it can be accessed from that TPlink and that client.

As an another way, you may change the local IP of the mixer's LAN section to the one of the TPLink's same subnet to let the TPLink stay their default IP adress. Ui24R can be a client of the DHCP server in the TPLink so you'll be oke to select the "DHCP" (it means to become a client), but you have to serarch the IP adress of the mixer again after you reboot the mixer. Therefore, whichever manually or DHCP, you prefer would be OK if you understood what it is.
