The sound from the microphone and the sound from the playback track are being mixed together on DAW

When I record using Ableton and Soundcraft Notepad and a microphone connected to it, the sound from the microphone and the sound from the playback track are being mixed together on the recording track. This can result in unwanted audio interference or bleed from the playback track into my microphone recording. Please any help?
