Notepad 8FX Computer Audio Routing Help

BadaBada Posts: 1

Hey I'm very new to using mixers. I'm trying to see if what I'm trying to do can be done with the mixer itself or this is something I need some additional equipment for.

The current setup is:
Mic > dbx 286s Channel Strip Processor > Notepad 8FX Mixer > USB connection to computer

I also have a Focusrite Scarlett Solo if that somehow helps.

I wanted to try and use the FX features on the mixer to have some fun with the sound of my mic over VOIP, so not through a DAW. However, the FX only makes it to the computer output when my audio routing is set to "Mix L+R" on the USB Audio Control Panel. The problem is that I want to monitor my audio and also hear my computer audio through my headphones all through the mixer and because my computer audio is included in the mix it's included in my mic output. Currently my computer audio is going from the the rear 3.5mm jack to the 3/4 channel. I also tried the 7/8 channel just in case.

I'm not sure if there's a way to exclude just the 3/4 from the mix so the computer audio isn't been picked up or if I'd need some other piece of equipment to circumvent this.

Any help would be appreciated!
