Connect Swissonic Router 2 MKII to Soundcraft Ui24R

Hey everyone,

I'm trying to connect an external router, the Swissonic Professional Router 2 MKII, to the Soundcraft Ui24R, but somehow it is not connecting to the mixer when setting everything up.

Can someone give me a detailed step to step process of how to do it? It seems I'm making a mistake setting up the router. And all the online tutorials on YouTube are for different routers.

Thanks in advance!

I am not sure about the specific router so I'll describe about common routers.

    1.
Setup your router as the DHCP server.
It provides the IP adress to the devices which was connected the router.
    It usually have some settings.
    START IP ADRESS.
END IP ADDRESS or PAYABLE IP NUMBERS.

    for example,
When the start IP was 192.168.0.100 and the numbers were 20, that clients have 192.168.0.100 - 192.168.0.109 range IP given.

    2.
Connect the Ui24R ETHERNET jack to the router's LAN port by using LAN cable.

    3.
Connect to the Ui24R's internal hot spot from your PC or tablet.
Go to the network config screen and then ETHERNET (LAN) section.
The IP address is probably 10.10.2.1 as the manual (static) default value.
    Change it to DHCP.
Type the router IP as the DHCP server IP address.
The subnet mask shoud be 255.255.255.0.
    Save the settings

    4.
    Reboot the mixer.

    5.
Check the router's information about the stocked DHCP adress. You will find yourselef and the mixer IP.
If the router didn't have this kind of the list, you just hit the DHCP start adress to the end adress one by one in the browser.
