Ui24 mixing/recording question

Hello, i will try to keep this simple. My desire is to purchase a Ui24 for my basement studio. I have an acoustic drum kit, guitar head amp/cab, and my bass guitar rig.
Will i be able to record and playback multi track recording of sessions WITHOUT the need of an ourboard DAW/laptop combo ? I woukd rather just use the onboard mixer with an ipad/tablet. I do understand i will need a thumbdrive or a more powerful usb storage device.

Thanx for reading

    yes you can do that.

I recommend you to use a SSD instead of pendrive due to the access speed.
But those drives will spend much current.
Ui24R doesn't have enough power supplying ability so I recommend you to use self-powered USB hub with the SSD too.

Ui24R only supports FAT32(MBR) format disk. Windows OS default feature can't format the large size ( over 32GB ) disk but you don't mid. Rufus ( freeware ) can format the large disk to FAT32.
Ui24R doesn't have a function to format the disk. So you need to use computer first time for formatting the disk.

Ok, so a powered usb storage device, gotcha.
Im just glad theres enough onboard ability for me to record sessions. This will be in my home with a highspeed ethernet cable to avoid issues with onboard wifi
