Has anyone experienced static and hiss on the UI12 headphone out jack?

I decided to try and connect a Sennheiser in ear monitor to the mixer while it was backstage so that I can hear the soloing from FOH. Twice now it works fine for the first few minutes, then it just goes to loud hissing and static. I tried different cabling and a DI box but it has the same issue. Tried doing a power cycle on the mixer but no go. Also I then tried my headphones back into the mixer directly and I have the static still. Any suggestions? FYI, no soloing is selected.
