Soundcraft Notepad -8FX

Hello I am new. Having purchased the Soundcraft Notepad-8FX.

I am having some issues, which might be user error, or my expectations of the device is wrong in some way.

I have seen people do demos on Youtube, where the effects, and volume all working well without issue.

  1. My first problem, is I think that the effects such as, delay, chorus and reverb are not burning to a sound file. It sounds beautiful through the headphone, in fact I can't stop playing! I have been trying different AUX/FX on MIC line one , for the guitar using different Parameter and AUX/MASTER. Also MIC line 2 for the microphone. I have the phantom power on. Line one and two are the combine XLR/Jack inputs. I assume it is ok to use these right?

I am using the USB from the device to the lead, is this correct?

  1. My second problem, is that the strength of the recording seems very low in audacity or adobe audition. I have done the necessary windows 11 checks, such as checking the permissions. And recording levels in Windows. Making sure that enhancements is not enabled.
