Ui24 Can you Duck to Aux only?

Hi. Is there a way to duck a channel that’s sending to aux op’s only?
I’ve seen I can duck a higher numbered sub from a lower one, but once it’s routed to sub, there’s no way to duck to aux. Just to main output.
This is to provide an ambient mic for 4 x Aux IEM mixes, which is what we’re using the mixer for.
Many thanks.

    Directly, no it cannot.

Only the subgroup have the ducking, and subgroup only goes to the master and matrix.
    So, this is a suggestion.

Press and hold the name column of AUX 5 and select "SWITCH TO MATRIX".
Repeatedly switch these AUX 5-8 to MATRIX 5-8.

    Subgroup-1 FOR AUDIENCE MAIN MIX

    Subgroup-2 AMBIENT MICROPHONES MIX
Press and hold the name column of this subgroup and select "EXCLUDE FROM MASTER".
    Set the DUCKING.
Send this subgroup to MATRIX 5,6,7 and 8.

MATRIX 5-8 are the IEM mix for 4 members.

AUX-1 FB mono mix for member #1.
Send this AUX to MATRIX 5.

AUX-2 FB mono mix for member #2.
Send this AUX to MATRIX 6.

AUX-3 FB mono mix for member #3.
Send this AUX to MATRIX 7.

AUX-4 FB mono mix for member #4.
Send this AUX to MATRIX 8.

If you needed stereo IEM, I may suggest another arrangement.

Set the ducking and "exclude from master" at the subgroup and send it to MATRIX 9 and 10.

At the patching section, those matrix (actually it's still named as aux) master 9 to Channel 21, and matrix (actually it's still named as aux) master 10 to Channel 22.

Now you have the post ducking ambient mix in the CH 21-22. Just send them to the 4 pairs of the IEM mixes.
You can use AUX1-2 for member #1 and AUX 7-8 for member #4.

Hey. Thanks so much for your suggestions. The first needs a bit of thinking about but I did get very close to the second for what I used at the weekend. I’d not really realised what the matrix could offer but when I did, I was able to convert aux 9/10 to matrix and route them internally back into a pair of channels (23/23) which could then be fed to aux pairs for the 4 x IEM mixes. Before that, even though I don’t send main out to FOH, in case I ever do, I needed to remove the ambient mic from the main bus whilst still feeding the sub. So my solution was to pull down the sub but feed the sub to matrix 9/10 which works pre-fade. So I think this is the same solution as your second suggestion just without the exclude from master step (which again I hadn’t realised was an option!:-)
    I swear I did RTFM.

    Yeah, Congrats!
    You got the goal.
    It sounds good.

Matrix is a similar thing as same as AUX for the MASTERS.
Like you can send channels to aux bus, you can send masters ( = AUX masters, Main masters, and Subgroup masters ) to the matrix.
