Can I control a Ui24r via laptop and usb cable, while connected to a wifi that is not the mixer's?

Hi all.

I hope the title says it all, but:

I would like to be able to control the interface of the mixer and all of it's functions on my laptop, without being connected to the mixer's wifi. Is that in anyway possible?

Why? Well, if I for some reason would like to be able to be connected to the World Wide Web at the same time as using/controlling the mixer.

Best regards

Kasper

At first, USB is not available to control the Ui24R's mixing board.
It because the controlling interface is on the HTML5 protocols.
So you need to use WiFi or wired LAN cable.

By the way, you still be able connect to the World Wide Web at the same time as controlling the mixer. There are several methods according to the situations. The most usual situation would be that your PC has connected to a router what have connecting to the internet. Just you make the Ui24R connects to the same router by WiFi or cable. It can get an IP from DHCP or manual IP setting is available too. Just you can control the mixer with hitting the IP from your PC because your PC and mixer are under same router's local interface. It's a cinch.

Also, if you customize the map of port forward routing in the router setting, you can connect to the mixer at home from your PC at foreign country. If your router has VPN server function of L2TP or something, it's more cinch. Actually I streamed Ui24R's audio of the SOLO bus to the internet and mixing a prerecorded multitrack from my staying hotel in TOKYO. Mixer and prerecorded USB was at my home from 500km far way from TOKYO then just I had my PC and earphones for remote in TOKYO. I felt the operation delay for 1-2 seconds around, it was not too bad for that work. I think live mixing via internet is not impossible.

Like above, internet is so familiar to this mixer because of HTML5 protocol.
