Fixing USB ground loop causing second display not working

Thought I would leave a note here for anyone having problems with the UI24 and second displays not working with laptop. I found that when I had my UI24 plugged into the DAW USB that my second display output wired to a projector wouldn’t work. This is I think due to a ground a ground loop through the shielding on the USB cable. The issue is easily resolved by disconnecting the shielding at one end of the USB cable. Also seems to generally improve the whole setup as have had no problems with the UI24 since doing this.
