SI Expression power switch

Hello, reading SI Expression User Guide, they mention console Power Switch positioned near the top right angle of the board. What about the switch on the back panel, near power cable? It was never mentioned in the manual. In my experience, I believe that it would be used to completely power off the console when it is not used for much time, using the other switch for everyday operation. Anyone could confirm or explain better please? Thank you.
