Actually, you can run mono left or right. You still set up as stereo and feed either input a mono signal. Left input - left h/m/l outputs. Right input - right h/m/l outputs. If you select mono sub you can use either or both low outputs.
If the input meter goes out, and you have ruled out cables, then it has to be the input module or could be a bad solder joint for the connector as well. Hopefully not a production issue. That would be bad.
This is not a PA+ problem but You might give me a pointer. Peavey 22xt
horns ! My horns are very harsh. A graney sound. I have moved the
x over up to 2000 and turned the amp down to about 1/3rd. Just can't seem to get away from this. I have a set of 115 JBL's and they sound great. Is it just Peavey or something I need to know ? Soundmen get a bad rap, lots of the time. I know I have a problem but I guess I'm not smart enough to fix it.
I know some will say, buy better horns, but I have used other 22xt's that sound ok.
Help if possible. I love the PA+ other than the Peavey horns.
Hmm my 22XT's will tear your head off...and they are REALLY efficient... how much power are you sending them? They are actually under 2\"and need to be crossed above 2K...and they are super efficient... like 107 db @ 1 meter @ 1 watt! So cross them as specified and CUT the output to the horns appropriately...

I have another question. My PA+ sub LED is cliping with only 1 green LED coming on ? My board is in the green. My amp's are not cliping. No chanels on the board cliping. What is the PA+ trying to tell me ?
Clipping? are you sure? What are you using in the way of compression, or limiting?I typically see very little activity on the the meters... unless I have the limiters set, or a comp...My plus shows tons of headroom available...Hmmm
So, those red lights at the top of the LED means the compressor is on.
I was using a slight comp. on the lows because of a low rumble I couldn't get out of the kick drum mic.
Very interesting. Good idea though. I have found little information in the PA+ manual's. Seems like everything is trial and error.
Thanks
I don't usually make use of gates but you might find that inserting one on the kick drum channel would take care of the low rumble. Do you have any dampening inside the drum? It sounds like the head(s) are vibrating from the stage volume.
Dennis. I might cure my kick drum problem. I bought a Crown CTS 3000
amp for the subs. I only run 2- 18\" - 4ohm sub cabnets.
I needed to give my MA 2400 a break anyway. Might move her up to the mids.
I hate to let a piece of electronics beat me.
The problem that you described with the kick drum sounds like \"source\" rather than electronics. Garbage in...garbage out. An amplifier upgrade is always cool, but you will still have to deal with kick drum rumble. You have an acoustic issue with the drum and your kick mic is faithfully reproducing it. What kick mic do you have?
