XLR outputs

(1) Can I bridge XLR pins 1+3 on the outputs?
(2) Is there a risk of damaging the output transistors?
(3) Are the UI24R outputs Active Balanced or Impedance Balanced?

(2) No. Outputs (ICs, nowadays, not transistors! ) should be compensated.
(3) What's the difference?
